| | 2008-07-01 21:23:52 | Welcome to a new edition of Digital Steel. With the European soccer EK 2008 disaster to an end we head towards the summer of festivals. Unlike the German soccer team Germany seems to be winning on the metal front. German blackmetal is on the rise and delivering top material, death metal is going strong and in the field of heavy metal, powermetal and -everything else- metal many German bands can compete with the established ones. Anyone reading this can come up with a few names so its fair to say that German bands are rising in the metal scene.
Besides the bands there are also a lot of festivals in Germany and metalheads from Europe and abroad are traveling (or already did) to the land of Metal. Let's hope the weather Gods love their metal as we do and give us some sunny festival days. We deserve it!!
