Alerion

01. Turn of Fate
02. Clash With Eternity
One and a half year ago Alerion released their first demo, Fledgling. But since then a lot has changed. The band changed vocalist and also added a keyboard player to the line-up. Does this mean that the strong metalsound is gone? Turn of Fate contains two songs so lets have a closer look at them.

Turn of Fate starts with a very soft beautiful intro. The singer has a complete different voice than their previous singer. Maaike Siegerist uses a bit more a classical way of singing. The guitars sound a bit far away. This song is very interesting, but it sounds a bit dimmed. I don't know how to express it perfectly but you should better just listen to it. Clash With Eternity is very nice ballad.

Alerion has grown a lot but from two songs I cannot say if they really have changed their way. The songs sound softer then on Fledgling but way more musically. I think these songs show a very nice other side of Alerion and I am curious about what will be next.
