| | Load is a Dutch rock band but with heavier riffs. On the flyer they are compared with Krezip, Anouk and Intwine. The last of these three is a band I don't really know but I think Krezip are softer. Yet the comparison with Anouk is very strong. Especially from the older albums of Anouk. She and Annalies Groen have a similar voice color.
Flames in Seconds explodes immediately with Goodbye, a strong song which displays the variety of the band. Besides this heavy song the album slows down a bit. The true strength of Load is that the soft and the heavier songs both have very interesting parts. Not just old fashioned riffs but well thought lines.
Flames in Seconds is only the debut of the band Load, but it already is quite impressive. I think this band will be able to make it, though it will be a hard way to go...
