| | This dutch band has been making music for almost ten years but due to various line-up changes they only released a demo in 2001, that’s it. It even came to the point when nobody remained besides vocalist ‘Stefan’. At last he found people to continue the band and from that point things got rolling again. Playing many gigs (one as opener for Testament) and finally getting signed by Deity down records. And that’s about time if you ask me.
But why you ask? Well, it’s not because they are brutal or technical or original? But what is it then? They just write very good songs with strong riffs, nice grooves and with a lot of variation. Songs as Overcome, Progress and Sick world stand out because of the great riffs and exciting breaks.
But I also have a few complaints. Not every song is that interesting especially the first couple songs don’t really grip my attention. Second, the vocals are a little too monotonous which is too bad because the music lends itself for a more ‘’experimental’’ (read variation) approach. And three the production, which sounds ok in all fairness but it is also a little standard.
All in all, a very promising debut from a promising band.
