Twee years after the well received second album domain, this Dutch death metal act comes with their third album. In the meantime original vocalist Arnold has taken back his place as frontman and they found a new bass player in Daniel Centiago (Eschutcheon).

Like I said the previous album was well received by my account and was in general one of the most refreshing death metal albums coming from Dutch soil in that year. So needless to say that my expectations where very high. Luckily, I can say that they bring what I hoped.
They continue the line of Domain, namely high quality death metal. In over an half an hour they drop eight fragmentation bombs onto the unaware listener. At first they sound pretty straight forward but after several listening sessions the album and songs unfolds their significant details. Like opener Heritage of the reckless which gets a sinister vibe, due to the keyboards, or the drastic change in pace in Impulse overload. Devious gives every song just that little bit extra which makes them stand over the masses.

This is a band that can make the leap to the big league, the quality for that is fully present.
An excellent album, nothing more nothing less.
