| | After the mini-cd in 2002, and an album (acts of rage) in 2003, after a four year waiting period
they came up with a second album. Devious, another solid act in the Dutch death metal scene.
Were these four years worthwhile? That's a question I can answer with a BIG YES!!
The music of Devious is hard to describe but i will try. I think it's a mixture between "Yyrkoon", "At the gates" and even a piece of Morbid angel.
That's the closest I can come up with. Due to the layers of keyboards they get a symphonic vibe,
and in a song as Incantation of the eartbound they also show that they are familiar with blackmetal. The music is more intelligent than the average death metalband, unexpected twists, adventures and contrary riffs molded in well build up songs.
Ok, this is all just a small indication of what you can expect from them.
The production is as clear as cristal. A must for this highly intelligent album 'cause every detail
no matter how small, needs to be heard.
I can tell you more how great this album is, but you'll have to find out for yourself.
